Terrorism Issue

Terrorism issue is one of the biggest issues in Indonesia, besides drugs abuse and also corruption. This issue was also discussed in the Asian African Conference Commemoration 2015, which was held last week in Bandung. Indonesia tried to persuade the AAC’s members to discuss about this matter since it was categorized to be handled as soon as possible, as what had been told by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Retno Marsudi.

Terrorism should be banned, however, in order to make a country feels safe. “Terrorists are actually a group of people who are dangerous since they are threating another communities”, said M. Aulia Rudi, a student of governmental science major in Diponegoro University. In the previous interview with him today, 30^th April 2015, he explained some informations related to his experience about terrorism in his activity related to terrorism itself.

“In my recent activities, I joined an event in Surabaya which its theme was about peace across religion. It was attended by 7 communities, each community was represented by one person. I was the representative of my community, Indonesia Youth Political Institiute, to discuss about religion conflict. However, we also talked about the terrorism done by ISIS, too” Rudi explained about his recent activity.

According to him, terrorism actually should be banned, since it will harm the society which had no relation with them.  “It should be banned, terrorism. But, regarding to the media itself, I can’t agree with the stereotype given to society as terrorists are those who are coming from Asia or Africa. It should be in the last AAC, they should discuss how to decrease the effects of terrorism in the area of Asia and Africa”, Rudi declared to the issue of terrorism regarding to the recent AAC.

Furthermore, he also explained any kinds of factor might happens for telling society that terrorists are Asian and African people. “It might be any reasons for telling society that terrorists are Asian and African people. It might be that there is a propaganda, or some other reasons which has not revealed yet”, said Rudi to this.

However, in order to decrease the impact of terrorism itself, the commitment among countries in this world should be reached first. “No matter how, in order to make a decreasing point of terrorism, the govenment should reach a commitment to other country leaders to do this. Do not ban the terrorism in an open way, since if this happens, the terrorists will have revenge to the government and to the world. This should be avoided if we want to have a peace. This is what I discussed in the event, too”, Rudi gave a more explanations towards this issue, regarding to his experience.

In the end, Rudi only said that actually terrorists should have a motive behind their activity. It is the government’s duty to acknowledge their motives as well as try to solve what kind of motive they want to apply. This is the most important thing, as it should be discussed in the international meeting like the recent ACC.

The Announcement of Pedurungan "Rumah Sehat" Contest 2015 Is Questioned

The contest of Rumah Sehat 2015 in Pedurungan sub-district area was held on February, 25th 2015. One of candidates joining the contest was Mr. Duduh Santosa's house.Mr. Duduh's house was represented as Tlogosari Kulon area's.

The judging time should be announced officially in two weeks after the house had been seen by the judges. However, there were some miscommunication which caused Mr. Duduh could not get the information of the winner of the contest. It had been reported how Mr. Duduh was unable to get the information from the sub-district officers.

"Unfortunately, there were no information from the sub-district officer to announce who the winner of the contest is", said Mr. and Mrs. Duduh yesterday (22/4), "At least, give us the information via phone or SMS. They even didn't do these kind of things. We are disappointed of this scheme, to be honest."

According to several neighbors, one of them was the head of Genuk sub-district, the contest were now in the process of the city level. That was why, Mr. Duduh assumed that his house had been lost from the contest. "I declared at the society's meeting several days before that if we lose this contest, we will be okay since we had gained the winner's place in 2002 in the city level", said Mrs. Duduh when I asked the question of their acceptance," However, the thing we are disappointing is that the sub-district officer have no informations to us about the result. That's all"

They also informed how the judging points were not transparent. One of the neighbors, who also worked as government officer, once declared that Mr. Duduh's house would gain no winning points since Mr. Duduh has 3 children and the house itself has a large garage. The condition of those might give the judges assumptions of a rich family. That was why the neighbor said Mr. Duduh had to prepare the losing itself before.

Since there were no information and exact points for the judging scheme, Mr. Duduh only hoped that the next Rumah Sehat Contest should be better than this. He only demanded the officer to give information completely to the contestants and also transparent judging points so it would give a fair description to the contest itself.

UN Question Sheets Arrival was Strictly Guarded

Semarang, suaramerdeka.com - Hundreds of UN question sheets for SMK/SMA/MA/SMALB were arrived at Dinas Pendidikan Kota Semarang. Before being distributed today, Sunday (12/4) to each subdistricts, the question sheets were strictly guarded 24 hours nonstop in order to avoid the leak of the answers.

The UN question sheets for SMK/SMA/MA/SMALB had arrived at Dinas Pendidikan Kota Semarang since Saturday (11/4) at 01.00 WIB. The distribution was held by using the Pos Indonesia trucks, while the sheets transference to the Dinas Pendidikan Kota Semarang's Warehouse was held at about 06.00 WIB. The guidance of the UN question sheets itself was held by the police and the educational supervisor and the officer of Dinas Pendidikan and even the UN District 1 Semarang City organizer.

The Head of the Elementary and High School Education Semarang City, Sutarto said, before the question sheets were done by the students, the sheets had to pass the distribution mechanism, that were: distribution from the printing house then sent to the Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi, then they were kept by each Dinas Pendidikan Kota. After that, they were distributed to each districts and each schools. "The arrived UN question sheets which were arrived today might be distributed after they have passed the checked," as what he said, Sunday (12/4).

Meanwhile, one of the officers, Ipda Jarno confessed, that the supervision and the guidance towards the UN 2015 question sheets had been held since they were distributed from the printing house to the time the UN was held. Besides involving the members of the uniformed polices, the polices with civilian uniform did the same thing.
